Recently some colleagues and I have noticed that the player known as ^^DragonFist^^ has taken the American MMR Leaderboards by a landslide despite being somewhat mediocre at the game overall. It was from there that we formulated the hypothesis that Templar Assassin was truly the most broken hero in DotA. Data taken from DotAbuff and using a follow-back survey were analyzed to determine if Templar Assassin truly was broken, and we've found that Templar Assassin is in fact, the most overpowered hero in the game (adjusted significance ratio = 1.9, 95% confidence interval: 1.1, 3.4). However playing Templar Assassin was not without its faults. Those that played Templar Assassin over extended periods of time were also at greater risk of mental illness, but risk varied by age and whether the person was living with others at the time . The risk of mental illness in the home was greater for those in homes with Templar Assassins than for those without Templar Assassins in the home (adjusted odds ratio = 10.4, 95% confidence interval: 5.8, 18.9).

The evidence and conclusions that were made were shocking to say the least, so before publication I took it upon myself to get some first hand experience with this phenomenon. After reviewing countless hours of our subject I began my journey into the depths of insanity.
Before running these trials I would like to say that I am a casual DotA player comfortably sitting at approximately 3250 solo MMR and 3324 party MMR and my overall Templar Assassin record going into this study was 2 wins 4 losses with a whopping KDA (kills/deaths/assists) of 2.2.
After studying up on many nuances of ^^DragonFist^^ I noticed an immediate change in my ability to dominate games. Below are some of my examples of my improved performances and ability to win games despite being a sub-par player.
What I noticed was an immediate increase in my ability to win games despite being an average 3k player. After my calibration games I was placed above 5000 MMR which is astounding and leads me to believe that Templar Assassin increased my MMR by about 66%. But there were not drawbacks to this adventure. As I continued to fiend games I noticed my mental fortitude to start crushing down upon itself and I was very quickly losing control of my life. Luckily enough I had several controls in place to drag me back from my state of insanity before I became too lost, however after going to Hell and back and seeing the true horrors of what befalls those that travel down the dark path of Templar Assassin abuse I have become very concerned for the sanity of ^^DragonFist^^
For reference, here are some brain scans of myself before and after my Templar Assassin chronicles depicting some very serious brain damage.
Now I would like for you to consider the fact that ^^DragonFist^^ has been under these conditions for much longer than I have and has yet to receive any therapy or psyche evaluation.

I would also like to point out that despite being much newer to the drug commonly known as TA I have a nearly identical winrate, and a much higher KDA. Does this mean that I'm a better player? Arguably. Does the evidence suggest that if I was to continue my masochism that I would overtake him on the leaderboards? Presumably. Where am I going with this? I don't know.
Templar Assassin is broken, pick it and increase your MMR lol.
Ya TA is mega broken in pubs if you wait until the other team picks their mid so you cannot be counterpicked. I got a 60something winrate on her too, it is very easy to get 60+ cs mid before 10 minutes, rek early game fights and farm very quickly/
I'm sorry, but this study of yours is illegal and would never have been accepted in any scientific journal. Before human testing of potentially dangerous solo mid heroes is allowed, we must first go through animal testing. It starts on mice (the origin of the term rat doto), continues into monkeys, and then is finally allowed for human testing. TA is unsuitable for rat play, so you would have been able to receive a dispensation for that task, but you needed to test this out on Arteezy before you let a human start in on it.
Thank you for all of the genuine replies and concern for my health! I am doing well and making a full recovery. I look forward to conducting more research and uncovering more DotA secrets in the future. Cheers!
I keep trying to give this post 5 stars but TL won't let me. R1ch pls. Also, refraction is commonly known as god mode, the human eye can't see you long enough between melds to trigger all charges.

You never faced anyone decent in mid have you?
I've played against plenty of decent mid players in my time. In one of my earlier blogs I posted a match where I dismantled EGM middle and won against him, 1437 and weppas, for instance.
That wasn't with TA, it was with SF. You're post is about Lanaya, not Nevermore.
And fyi Lanaya isn't broken. As much as I want her to be, she isn't. If she was she be a 1/2 slot pick, and 1/2 slot ban. She is a hard snowball hero that transitions into a semi carry, or hard carry depending on the game. Playing in pubs and running around with Lanaya is as impressive as seeing a Tinker blowing people up with Dagon in 5k MMR.
I'm afraid your interpretation of those brain pet-scans is all wrong. You see, the diminishing activity in the anterior cingulate, the basal ganglia, and the thalamus after playing TA is a sign of improvement. You previously suffered from PTSD, probably from the years of abuse in the (Dota) trenches. But TA has brought you out of those trenches, into the light, like a well trimmed shepherd (or the earth spirit in his days of glory).
After I read this, I played with some friends and picked TA. Instant success! Went 11-1-18 with her (yeah, my friends stole all kills, those fuckers!) Picking TA is really free mmr. Thanks harodihg! I'm so happy for my free wins that I want to kill myself!
