Recently some colleagues and I have noticed that the player known as ^^DragonFist^^ has taken the American MMR Leaderboards by a landslide despite being somewhat mediocre at the game overall. It was from there that we formulated the hypothesis that Templar Assassin was truly the most broken hero in DotA. Data taken from DotAbuff and using a follow-back survey were analyzed to determine if Templar Assassin truly was broken, and we've found that Templar Assassin is in fact, the most overpowered hero in the game (adjusted significance ratio = 1.9, 95% confidence interval: 1.1, 3.4). However playing Templar Assassin was not without its faults. Those that played Templar Assassin over extended periods of time were also at greater risk of mental illness, but risk varied by age and whether the person was living with others at the time . The risk of mental illness in the home was greater for those in homes with Templar Assassins than for those without Templar Assassins in the home (adjusted odds ratio = 10.4, 95% confidence interval: 5.8, 18.9).

The evidence and conclusions that were made were shocking to say the least, so before publication I took it upon myself to get some first hand experience with this phenomenon. After reviewing countless hours of our subject I began my journey into the depths of insanity.
Before running these trials I would like to say that I am a casual DotA player comfortably sitting at approximately 3250 solo MMR and 3324 party MMR and my overall Templar Assassin record going into this study was 2 wins 4 losses with a whopping KDA (kills/deaths/assists) of 2.2.
After studying up on many nuances of ^^DragonFist^^ I noticed an immediate change in my ability to dominate games. Below are some of my examples of my improved performances and ability to win games despite being a sub-par player.
What I noticed was an immediate increase in my ability to win games despite being an average 3k player. After my calibration games I was placed above 5000 MMR which is astounding and leads me to believe that Templar Assassin increased my MMR by about 66%. But there were not drawbacks to this adventure. As I continued to fiend games I noticed my mental fortitude to start crushing down upon itself and I was very quickly losing control of my life. Luckily enough I had several controls in place to drag me back from my state of insanity before I became too lost, however after going to Hell and back and seeing the true horrors of what befalls those that travel down the dark path of Templar Assassin abuse I have become very concerned for the sanity of ^^DragonFist^^
For reference, here are some brain scans of myself before and after my Templar Assassin chronicles depicting some very serious brain damage.
Now I would like for you to consider the fact that ^^DragonFist^^ has been under these conditions for much longer than I have and has yet to receive any therapy or psyche evaluation.

I would also like to point out that despite being much newer to the drug commonly known as TA I have a nearly identical winrate, and a much higher KDA. Does this mean that I'm a better player? Arguably. Does the evidence suggest that if I was to continue my masochism that I would overtake him on the leaderboards? Presumably. Where am I going with this? I don't know.
Templar Assassin is broken, pick it and increase your MMR lol.
