So while I am/was waiting for university courses to start again I made a serious try to improve in DOTA 2. And F*UCK I failed.
I considered myself rather experienced and though mechanically not great I thought my knowledge about the game was okay. I mean I've been watching Dota (and playing on and off) since TI2 now.
Well I started at 2.5k team MMR and 2.4k solo MMR and managed to drop down to 1.9k team and 1.8k solo in about 2 months. When i'm not playing I read guides or watch streams so I am really trying but even though it feels like I am getting better there is always that setback. Today for example I played so badly I feel sorry for my team mates.
So now I was wondering: Am I just the most untalented person out there and therefore no amount of hard work gets me at over 2k again or do you just have to forget about life completely to get out of 2k and that's just how it is?
If you'd like to take a look at my games I'll give you a sample of good and bad games:
bad: Match ID:
good: Match ID:
2660132003 Storm Spirit
So I play mid "exclusively" (if anyone else goes mid then obviously I pick something else) and honestly by last hits I pretty much win every game (except the ones I posted under bad that I played today. Those were really horrible lol)
So am I simply super untalented?
The advice you get for people at that MMR is "Oh try to last hit you know! If you simply farm well you'll easily get better!"
Yeah that's not really the problem lol
Thanks in advance guys. I'm frustrated as hell..
