Release Roster
Ninjas in Pyjamas officially announced that they were releasing their current Dota 2 roster, while they rethink their strategy within the competitive scene of Dota 2. SabeRLight-, Supream^, Era, CharlieDota, and Misha are reportedly staying together for the rest of their EPIC League Division 2 run. Many individuals within the community are speculating that NiP will be picking up the Mudgolems roster, but sources close to the roster say nothing has been communicated to indicate these rumors were true.

Many members of the community have already spoken out about the latest news, with one of the scene’s biggest critics of Valve, Ben “Noxville” Steenhuisen tweeting:

Reinessa also voiced her concerns, comparing the competitive scene of Dota 2 to other scenes that are growing.

Loda brought up the fact that the financial viability of being a top 8 team in Europe is not great. It only benefits when the teams are top 3 in a region so expensive and competitive.

Noxvile addressed Loda's comment, stating that no matter what, to keep Dota 2 afloat, change is necessary.
