Gambit Esports announced their line-up for the ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online, with Evgeniy "Blizzy" Ree subbing for Maxim "Shachlo" Abramovskikh, who has been benched, and Vladimir "yol" Basov subbing in for Artsiom "fng" Barshak, who is on a 2-month loan to Alliance. This announcement comes after Gambit Esports dropped out of the WePlay! Pushka League Division 1, and previously getting 7th in their group at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS.

Blizzy - copywrite Dreamhack

Shachlo has been playing under Cyber Legacy for about a month now, with poor results to show for it. Whereas fng has seen some success with Alliance, playing top 6 in each event, losing both time to Team Liquid. Blizzy hasn't seen many competitions since his release from NaVi after TI9. He substituted for ppd's NiP roster during the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS event, but fell short with a 13-14th place finish. yol on the other hand hasn't seen much of tier 1 competitions since his time on Virtus.pro back in 2015. He has played for the likes of Wind & Rain, Vega Squadron, Clutch Gamers, Elements Pro Gaming, and Team Empire since then.

Alliance loan of fng seems to be in Alliance favour.

Anyone have some more informations/rumors about this?
It looks so weird for me to exclude FNG out of this roster and make this loan to Alliance.
Without him, this looks just like any other random CIS stack that isnt VP.

The only explanation I have for not using FNG is that there is problems between him and other squad members my guess would be GBK. So Gambit choosing star player over captain. That is just my guess but can't find other reason for not using FNG.

Same thoughts here.
GPK is a beast, no doubt. But i still wonder if this is the right priority?

Rumors I've been hearing have put Alliance's original plan as getting Ninjaboogie for their 5th, but the pandemic prevented him from traveling so they looked to find any reasonable 5 they could in the mean time and lucked out with FNG being available due to some internal issues in Gambit.

The rumours are that gpk is going to navi, maybe a swap with magical.
