Loses Dota Roster
Alliance's Dota 2 roster has made great strides over the last two year with the org. After failing to qualify for TI8, they managed to avoid the qualifiers for TI9 and, instead, received a direct invite, mainly fueled by a strong finish to the season. However, today it was announced that the players will be departing from the organization that brought them to this point. In the official announcement Alliance writes:
Today, we announce that Micke, Insania, Boxi, Taiga and Qojqva will be leaving our family to join another organization for the next DPC season. The players have expressed their desire to try a new environment and after long discussions, we’ve decided to mutually part ways and have officially released them from their contracts.
While the announcement hinted at the players already having found another org to represent, nothing is known about it at this point in time. As for Alliance, they still aim to have a team represent them at TI10:
The International 10 will be played in Stockholm, Sweden – our home turf. With the departure of our Dota 2 team, this does not change our goal of playing at the main stage in Globen next TI. We are dedicated to our goal of building a new world-class roster and look forward to show you what’s next.
