Resolut1on
removed from OG

OG has announced that they're parting ways with Roman "(Wiki)Resolut1on" Fomynok. He's been a part of the team since the beginning of the 2017-18 season.

In order to qualify for TI8, OG will have to go trough EU Open Qualifiers.

As much as I love perfect flower notail, they need to replace him instead :/

Jerax underperforms
NoTail doesn't seem 100% comfortable with his role
Fly's hero pool seems limited, doesn't suite the patch
They draft losing lanes 90% of the time

Let's kick Resolution

The clearly needed a change, however I feel like n0tail haven't been the same for a few months now but they clearly were not gonna remove him for a new mid/carry so reso was the obvious choice. Hope they stop picking brew for s4

Another roster change post-shuffle. Looks like alot of teams aren't confident with their chances to get to TI.

Not much of a surprise no system is gonna stop teams from kicking players if they think they won't win even if it is "unfair" . Yet people still don't understand they play dota to win not to just exist.

Open qualifiers is gonna be a bloodbath

why do they need to go through EU open qualifiers? they still have the same amount of DPC points regardless of Reso leaving?

edit: apologies i forgot the new rule:

"What if a team wants to change its roster after the roster lock, but prior to The International?NEW
Invites to The International (both direct and to regional qualifiers) are given to teams based on their registered roster. Teams that want to play with a roster that differs from their registered roster are ineligible for direct or regional qualifier invites to The International."

Rosters are locked. The 5-man group of "OG" includes Resolution.

Though I do wonder what happens if OG wins a tournament. That'll be interesting what it does to DPC points, as I'm not sure we've asked about it.

I would think they just skip one spot and t points go to the next highest team?
Not sure, but that's really all that makes sense - unless Valve wants to give the points to OG anyways, but as they are pointless would be removed from the overall pool (which sounds stupid after typing it^^)

Kicking your best player is always the way to go

As the top EU teams will qulify via points. They will probably get to TI. But that aint good enough. As i don't really see them doing better than top 12.
Changing something is the right mindset. But i dont think kicking reso was the correct move..

OG.Kyle? In all seriousness though they either need to stick with mad or find someone from the ladder. Gonna be hard.

Based on the MDL match they're playing:
1. Mad
2. Notail
3. S4
4. Jerax
5. Fly

They keep those points, however it means nothing to them. If anything, it'll reduce the magical # which teams need to secure an invite to TI

Even though I agree that N0tail is probably the worst player right now on OG(not the worst overall, but currently he is really underperforming heavily) but they will never kick him because he and Fly will always play together and will probably go together to the new team if they ever leave OG.

Remaining OG players can play DPC events and earn points. OG's team is different from the registered lineup which means they can't be invited to TI8 or regional qualifiers so the points the earn are useless and OG can only prevent other teams from getting into top8.

Internal struggle must have been so big that the players prefer the bo1 bloodbath in the EU open qualifiers.

The whole team feels off these last few patches
N0tail got nerfed hardcore and still hasn't adapted and . . .

for crying out, loud even Jerax IS MISSING KICKS ON EARTH SPIRIT

I believe Fly & n0tail own OG, actually. So they'd boot people and bring in others.

As for the kick, might just be personality issues as well, but OG did a lot to protect Resolution in a number of matches and he just couldn't carry it. He's still one of the best Morphlings in the world, but his hero pool seemed really constrained.

It's also possible he just wasn't a good fit for OG's play style.

Do we think they call up ana to come back?

I am really surprised, by looks of their games reso played very good. I am sure they have a plan, and I hope it works, coz I find OG a nice and entertaining team to watch.
