Icefrog has announced a new philosophy when it comes to patching Dota 2. While we have become accustomed to patches like 7.00 or 7.07 IceFrog has announced more regular updates can be expected for the game. What this means is open to interpretation. Will Valve focus more on addressing bug fixes in many of the smaller patches or will they focus on item and hero changes as they try to smooth out the game play? Arguably some of the more iconic moments in Dota 2 have happened because of the infrequent but much larger patches we have had in the game. It will be interesting to see how this will impact teams as there is little downtime between tournaments in the Dota Pro Circuit.
