Puppey, Funn1k, and now Phobos have all left Na'Vi by choice, not to mention that fng was given the chance to come back and did not take it. Clearly there are some very serious internal problems in Na'Vi.
saddens me to say this but there's actually mafia-like issues with navi. xboct is like ZGs nephew basically and he will never replace him. it's just pathetic that he wants to have the bigger balls and keep xboct over ppy kky.
navi will never fix itself with current management.

pretty much ready to confirm navi is done.
greed made you keep xboct over puppey. worst decision of your life ZeroGravity.
One look at TI4's navi was all you needed to know that navi was done.
People tend to remember navi as a versatile team, but if you look at the navi of TI2 and TI3, it was a team that very much depended on amazing individual talent and coordination to win teamfights by combining key skills (part of the reason why they were the only team who could pick dark seer for like half a year or something during TI3, the other being "funn1k is amazing"). The old "draft any strat" navi had gone out the window by TI3, and even in TI2 navi lost 2 key games in the finals iirc from drafting dragon knight for dendi to play mid.
I think that since alliance won TI3, teams improved in ways other than individual skill. People realized that if you have a good "systemic" way of approaching dota as a team that takes advantage of the individual "quirks" to your players, you can gain a significant edge. This is what EG and C9 excelled at and let them become the best placing western teams at TI4. Like it or not, NAdota (jacky mao, ppd, pieliedie) have had had profound impacts on western dota, and navi was left behind.
I don't think keeping ppy instead of xboct would've made a difference. Nobody knows how decision making is done in navi, but there is little doubt that they would still be a team that somehow lags behind on practice, and from the way secret is playing, as cruel as it sounds, I don't think they would've adapted much better than the current navi (I sure hope secret prove me wrong though!)
