I'm not sure if they are trolling or incredibly dumb

True interview or not? Pretty cool though!
Icefrog must be doing a philosophy major on the side.....

Mother of god...
EDIT: That's a perfect example of what happens when people don't read the thread before they post.

Maybe ice frog isnt even a real person....

The OP there clearly is trolling ..
Although the article was mostly for lulz, this was a good line: A good Dota player plays where the fight is happening. A great Dota player plays where the fight is going to be happening
At first it does seem like a good line, but then again you're a great player if you get ganked alot according to this definition.

I was also wondering. Wouldn't they delete the news post if it was April fools? I mean, this is not like super obvious that it's an April fools story. There's also the fact that it was posted at "March 31st, 2013 23:59" and not April 1st. This is really evil...

I know this community loves its inside jokes, but who in the world is icefrog

He's basically the main man behind DotA and Dota 2, but was very secretive over anything pertaining to his RL identity or personal life, so we knew next to nothing about him. We were really lucky to have this chance to interview him.

An obvious April Fools, is obvious fake of truth.
To me this is a piece describing utter failure, building into the myth of IceFrog, and words of wisdom, irregardless from where they stem. That is all that matters to me. I am happy with the piece. It served its purpose regardless of day of the year.

Confirmed then, Icefrog is a robot!

It's funny how people think that Icefrog must be insightful because we don't know anything about him. Maybe Blizz should have gone into hiding after they made WoL.
Also, whoever wrote this interview would be solid at writing fortune cookies.

I don't.
... You don't? You realize a lot of people are going to shout at you because of this answer, right?
Balance is the arch-enemy of art and creativity. Creativity comes from a conflict of different ideas. Controversy is a natural part of creativity. Accidents like Blink Dagger + Epicenter would never surface in a "balanced" game.
This is a nice pretend answer to the question about balancing. It's nice to see things put in because they're cool rather than because they address a specific perceived weakness in the metagame.

Its nice to see people are still deceived by an APRIL FOOLS JOKE 3 days after the fact.
