In his first tournament of 2018, w33 competed with paiN Gaming as a stand-in at Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds. The team finished 5th - 6th.

Welcome Dota 2 Tips to the upper echelon for the first time! His strong YouTube subscriber and video view numbers earned him the #4 rank. Earlier in January, Dota 2 Tips received his silver YouTube Play button for reaching 100k subscribers. As of writing, his channel is nearing 150k subs.
#3: Dendi
Last Month's Ranking: New to list
Dendi returns to the upper echelon after a five-period absence. On the competitive front, Dendi's year is off to a good start. The Na'Vi stalwart kicked off 2018 with a GESC: Indonesia Dota2 Minor - CIS Qualifier win over Team Spirit. In January, the team also learned that they were invited to ESL One Katowice 2018.

ESL's exclusive streaming deal with Facebook has become somewhat of a meme within the community, and there were signs that streamers like Admiral Bulldog were pulling live tournament viewers away from Facebook and onto Twitch. As of writing, there are also reports of multiple streamers getting banned for streaming the ESL tournament on Twitch.
