After being overshadowed in February and March by Winter Compendium items, the Nested Treasure II is back on top! This item, January's bestseller, has been immensely popular since its release in December 2015. The Nested Treasure II's appeal lies in its value; it's cheaper than regular treasures, at the cost of some additional RNG. During the current period the Nested Treasure II's older brother, the Treasure of the Nested Cache, followed right behind in terms of popularity. It's anticipated that these two items to remain popular for the foreseeable future. Don't expect another edition of the Nested Treasure to be released until December.
In a nice change of pace, this period saw the return of tournament passes to the top 10. The World Cyber Arena is a big tournament that's split into 3 seasons during the year. The winners of the 3 seasons will compete for $760k at the LAN finals in Yinchuan, China this December. The WePlay League, which concluded last weekend, had a smaller prize pool (although 200k+ is nothing to scoff at).
Although it only placed #15 on the list, a special shout-out goes to the Realm of Chaos Pass. Game passes are part of Valve's controversial paid mods initiative. The passes unlock special in-game content and support the mod's creators. Luckily for players, the base versions of the mods are free to play. You can always try before you buy.
