Here are some highlights from the top 5.
#5: w33
It's w33 first appearance on the list since September 2015! This edition, the competitive fates of w33, Arteezy, and pdd are intertwined. Despite winning the Shanghai Major in early March, w33 and teammate MiSeRy were dropped from Team Secret in favor of Evil Geniuses' Arteezy and Universe. Former Digital Chaos members Aui_2000 and Bulba made the switch to Evil Geniuses, which created openings and allowed w33 and MiSeRy to join Digital Chaos.
#4: Dendi
Dendi has been putting in lots of work in anticipation of TI 2016. He and Na'Vi managed to remain unscathed during March's rostermania. Dendi and his team recently faced off against a few other players on the list. This month, Na'Vi placed 3rd-4th in season 4 of the Dota Pit League; they defeated Team Secret in the quarterfinals and lost to Evil Geniuses in the semifinals.
#3: ppd and #2 Arteezy
ppd's YouTube channel has been growing leaps and bounds thanks to his frequent tournament vlogs and strategy videos. ppd and Evil Geniuses have been through quite a tumultuous week. Arteezy and Universe left to join Team Secret, causing a ripple effect of team changes. Evil Geniuses ended up with Aui_2000 and Bulba as replacements, and Zai as a sub.
#1: Admiral Bulldog
Admiral Bulldog and team Alliance ended up 7th-8th at the Shanghai Major, falling to Complexity in their final match. This result was a disappointment considering Alliance's recent placements, but it still allowed them to take home $100k in prize money.
