In December, the removal of the Fall Compendium left a lot of room for new items to enter the top 10. One popular new item is the #2 ranked Treasure of the Cherished Hoard. The item (and its charm) was released on December 8th. This new treasure gives players a shot at opening one of six new sets that won't become tradeable or marketable until February 8th. If you want to rock one of the Cherished Hoard's sets in January, your only option is to try your luck and open a treasure or two.
This edition the Treasure of the Nested Cache, the bestselling item before the Fall Compendium was released, regained the top spot. Nested Treasure II, an updated version of the Treasure of the Nested Cache, was released on December 1st. Nested Treasure II sales were slow during the first half of the month, only to rocket to the top spot 10 of the last 15 days in December. Next month, Nested Treasure II is expected to overtake its older cousin.
The most surprising item on our list is the Tempest Helm of the Thundergod Bundle. Despite this Zeus set's whopping $34.99 price tag, it managed to finish the month at #9. This set was originally the $3.5 million stretch goal in the TI5 Compendium. The item's popularity can be attributed to its Arcana rarity and the fact that Zeus is among the game's most popular heroes.
